So a decade ago I wrote a play about the danger to Māori when the police were given wider powers. Some critics at the time said that it wouldn’t happen and I hadn’t engaged in post-colonial discourse. Perhaps it’s time for a Te Kaupoi revival.

So, is this new police powers bill (whatever it’s called) an attempt by Parker to make the lockdown legal? I just looked at some of the other aspects of the Bill and it is pretty much a duplicate of what they have been getting away with already

Astounding to hear Bridges complaining about Govt debt in #nzqt. Important we don't go down this track. Right now the Govt must borrow to save the economy. Any other course of action is a recipe for business failures and job losses.
