I will be off the grid this Monday and Tuesday and again NEXT Monday and Tuesday for the last of the full holidays beginning with Sukkot and ending with Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. https://t.co/e85BlzjVhf
I’m a proud Jew.
I’ve never felt the need to hide my religion.
Last night, I celebrated Simchat Torah (a celebration of the Bible) with hundreds of other Jews.
(We would have done it outside, but Torahs aren’t waterproof).

We celebrated Simchat Torah outside, dancing w the Torah in the streets. 2 Iranian women separately approached me saying, “I could never dream of this where we grew up.” 1 recalled her mother was taken by the morality police. Both said immigrants treasure America in a unique way.
Day 19 of asking @cher for an interview.
Tonight begins Simchat Torah, which means the rejoicing of the Torah. So, I'll be going to temple later, and praying to be able to celebrate Simchat Cher, sometime in the near future.
Okay, that wasn't true. I already celebrate that. https://t.co/HyOMThiOYn
Today is the Jewish feast of "Simchat Torah", when Jews dance, holding the scrolls of the Bible (see https://t.co/TMfbS2yFu6). May we also find such joy in the Word of God! https://t.co/zwqTxEiZP7
Simchat Torah (Hebrew: שמחת תורה) commemorates the joy of the Jews having the Torah (Bible and its instruction). On Simchat Torah, many services read all five Books of Moses.
