Enough of the jubilee, who wants to see weird medieval stuff?
Today is Pentecost, when the holy spirit descended on the apostles and licked them with fire tongues (Acts 2:3). Medieval people had different bizarre ways of drawing this. I will rate them for creativity. 🧵 https://t.co/pPaxB69O6y

God bless our priests.
Pray for M.L'abbé Henri de la Chanonie 🇫🇷 who brought us 🇬🇧Mass and the Sacraments this #Pentecost. Our priests are truly impressive, uncompromising men.
We hope you get to hear the sermon from today which included instruction to a First Communicant. https://t.co/wOUhmxs5q9
Holy Spirit, do for your people today what you did for the disciples on Pentecost. May we spread the good news and build your kingdom on earth together! 📸@Raul_Berzosa https://t.co/7mCUnvXwQw
Double celebration today - Pentecost Sunday, the birthday of the Church - and the jubilee for our amazing Monarch. We are having a cloister party as we do not have a street! 2 talented sisters produced the jubilee pudding. We prayed very Specially for Queen Elizabeth during Mass https://t.co/gDRpLOCTUQ
Pentecost in Craig Lodge, Dalmally.🔥 This is where Mary's Meals began. Like Celtic FC, it was founded to put food on the table for the poor and hungry. Today, it feeds well over a million schoolchildren. A wonderful fruit of the Holy Spirit.🕊 (Ben Lui in the background.) 🙏🏻❤ https://t.co/nFs8NuZFco
Today is Pentecost Sunday. Those who receive the Spirit are sent out to proclaim a new way of being human, being together, founded on forgiveness, compassion and justice. #PentecostSunday https://t.co/u7HeOL0dRX
WE HAVE DECIDED THAT SUNDAY'S SERVICE & PICNIC WILL BE MOVED INSIDE THE PARISH HALL ON LOWER ST DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST. Pls do come along to celebrate the Jubilee & Pentecost, the rain won't dampen our spirits 😃 https://t.co/Hq6wPA0Saz
It's a nice coincidence that the Jubilee and Whitsun have happened to fall together. The first record of the name 'Whitsun' for Pentecost, in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, relates to the coronation of a queen: Matilda, 'gehalgode to cwene on Westmynstre on Hwitan Sunnandæg' in 1068. https://t.co/JvfAStIXiZ
Wishing everyone a very blessed Pentecost and praying for all those who are taking their confirmation today or have been confirmed recently. May we all reflect upon the gifts of the Holy Spirit today and how we can share these gifts with others through our lives. #Pentecost https://t.co/gkhKUpPLIK

Pentecost in 2022
Pentecost commemorates when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be with the disciples (Acts 2). With the Holy Spirit among the disciples, the church was born.
